7113/7121/7131 WAYZATA BLVD.

This was the southeast corner of Wayzata Blvd. and Louisiana Ave.  It is unclear how many buildings were here, as the locations were usually just listed as Wayzata Blvd. and Louisiana.  This may be a mish-mash of up to three of them.

 

1926:  Emil Rey’s Grocery and Gas Station.  He may be related to a Michael Rey who is listed as a gardener in 1881, with 60 acres in Section 30. 

1940:  Roessel’s Grocery
 

1948:  Old Dutch Grill – new sandwich shop opened in February. 

 

1953:  Edward McDonald got permit to build a restaurant for $16,900

 

1957:  B&B Skelly Service – C. Don Beckman and Marsh Bjorklund.  Grand Opening May 9-10, 1957

 

1960-62:  New Dutch Grill

1962-67:  Park Skelly service station. 

 

1985:  Mr. Donut

This area is now part of the intersection of Wayzata and Louisiana and the address no longer exists.
