SOCIETY GOALS FOR 2006
From the Re-ECHO, December 2005

What are the goals for the St. Louis Park Historical Society in 2006?  Only one is left over from 2005.

  • Enhance the train depot experience by adding a model train exhibit.
  • Increase our knowledge and capability to obtain funding through grants and/or the City of St. Louis Park.
  • Continue to follow and encourage the consolidation of the two beehive cooker parks and encourage the City to incorporate the remaining park into its system.
  • Sponsor and support the Parkette Reunion Committee in planning and implementation of their 50th Reunion.
  • Continue to publish the Re-ECHO newsletter and send it to anyone interested in the history of the Park.
  • Establish a better relationship with the Seventh grade teachers and students to provide better assistance for their segment on St. Louis Park history.
  • Continue the computerization of our collection to make it more user friendly.
  • Plan and sponsor a St. Louis Park History-related program to be presented at Wolfe Park.
