Norman Thomas was the author of the
monograph St. Louis Park: A
Story of a Village. It was written in 1952 while
he was a graduate student at the University of Minnesota.
He served as a professor of history at the University of
Puget Sound, Tacoma, Washington; Vice-president and dean at
Detroit Institute of Technology; Vice-president for academic
affairs and professor of history at Paterson State College,
Wayne, New Jersey; and in 1971 taught at Passaic, New Jersey
Community College He died on August 16, 1990 in Franklin, New Jersey
