LEN THIEL

Len Thiel was appointed Mayor in January 1967 when his predecessor, Ken Wolfe, resigned to become State Senator.  He was elected by a landslide in 1968.  In 1973 he was Assistant Vice President of Engler and Budd Investments.  About that time he was appointed to the Metropolitan Transit Commission.  Thiel passed away in 2004.
