CONRAD N. RUEDLINGER

NURSERYMEN PAST PRESIDENT IS DEAD
 

C. N. Ruedlinger Was Also Past President of Nurserymen's Association.

C. N. Ruedlinger, past president of the Minnesota State Nurserymen's association, and of the Minnesota State Florists' association, died Friday at his home, 2929 Colfax avenue south. He had been ill four weeks. (died November 19, 1933)

 

Mr. Ruedlinger was secretary of the florists' association for several years before serving as president of the organization for .three years.

 

A native of St. Gall, Switzerland, Mr. Ruedlinger came to Minneapolis from Hartford, Conn., In 1906. He was a city forester in the park department until 1910, when he went into business as a landscape gardener and nurseryman.

He was an honorary life member of the Minnesota Horticultural society, and a life member of the Society of American Florists and Ornamental Horticulturists. He was a member of the Royal Arcanum, lodge and of the Third Church of Christ Scientist.

Surviving him are his wife; two sons, Arthur and Rudolph, associates in his business; three daughters, Mrs. Stephen O'Connel of Ventura, Calif., Mrs. Madeline Larson and Miss Lea Ruedlinger of Minneapolis, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:45 p. m. Monday at Lakewoood chapel.
